Two days in Paris

Seine River Paris

You plan a first two day trip to Paris. This page provides synthetic information about what you should know beforehand and do while in Paris. In five minute reading, prepare a wonderful trip to Paris Paris city guide.

Best time to travel to Paris

Travel in fall or winter if you want to best enjoy city life. Outdoor sightseeing is best in May, June and September. Prefer weekdays when top sights are less crowded.

Travel to Paris by car

You may drive into the city, as long as you have a parking near your accomodation. The circular freeway around the city, called the périphérique, is a nightmare most of the time. Don't use your car in Paris.

Travel to Paris by plane

Prefer Orly Airport, easily connected to Paris by metro line 14, to Charles de Gaulle Airport and its slower, more crowded and less reliable RER B regional metro connection to Paris.

Accomodation

Prefer a boutique hotel downtown near Louvre Museum, Champs-Elysées, Notre-Dame or Luxembourg Gardens.
