Paris amusement parks for kids

Paris has two world class amusement parks. The best known is Disneyland Paris. You could stay there a few days and visit Paris from there.

Parc Asterix, the second world class theme park near Paris, has shorter queues and a French touch.

In Paris, you can go to Jardin d'acclimatation, a smalller amusement park for young children.

Museums in Paris for kids

In Paris, visit the Grevin Wax Museum. The museum is funny with its magic tricks and deforming mirrors.

Children love the Paris Air and Space Museum, the Paris Technology Museum, with old cars and planes, and the Natural History Museum with its dinosaurs.

Go with your children to the fantastic Louvre Museum and Centre Pompidou. They will be stimulated.

Sightseeing in Paris with kids

Go on a Seine river cruise. Use the funny Hop-on Hop-off double-deckers tours to see Paris and her main sights.

Walk up the stairs with your kids to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. An amazing experience taht is quite feasible.

Board the Ferris wheel on Place de la Concorde in winter and in Tuileries Gardens in the summer. Your kids will love the exciting experience and great Paris view.

Fun places in Paris for kids

The renovated Paris Zoo is one of the best zoos in the world. Close to Paris, go to Thoiry Safari Park, a safari experience in the park of a beautiful french castle.

The puppet shows in Luxembourg Gardens (11am and 3pm everyday) are great with young kids. Go to the exciting funfair in Les Tuileries Gardens in July or August or to the spheric La Geode movie theater in Parc de La Villette.

Half a day of fun relaxing at Aquaboulevard Water Park will complete the programme in Paris for kids.

Visit a medieval city near Paris

The City of Provins, a Unesco World Heritage Sight, has preserved its medieval appearance (watch video). In Provins, your kids will be totally amazed by breathtaking medieval shows and 58 historical sigths.

Provins is not easily reachable by train or by car from Paris. Fortunately, Provins can be visited twice a week on an affordable one day coach tour from Paris. Don't miss this opportunity. Locate Provins on France map

Shopping in Paris with kids

Buy toys at lovely Passage des Princes and its typically french toy stores. Si tu veux, close by, at Galerie Vivienne, is a great toy store. Check Paris shopping arcades.

With their stores and restaurants, Paris Shopping Malls are good places to shop with kids in Paris.
