Disneyland Paris Castle is called le Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant in French. Disneyland Paris Castle was designed by Walt Disney Imagineering and opened on April 12, 1992.

The total height of Disneyland Paris Castle is 167 ft (50.9 m). Disneyland Paris Castle was inspired by the Neuschwanstein Castle in Southern Germany, commissioned by Ludwig II in 1868.

Neuschwanstein

Neuschwanstein Castle is the best known of European 19th century Castles inspired by the Middle Ages. It was built on the model of the Wartburg in Germany and Pierrefonds Castle near Compiegne in France.

Commissioned by King of Bavaria Ludwig II, it was also deeply inspired by Richard Wagner's operas.
