Sports in Paris |
|
An overlooked side of Paris is certainly sports events. You may know Roland Garros ATP tennis tournament in June (below right) and the Tour de France cycling race with its final stage on the Champs Elysées end of July. What about the great Paris international Marathon (right on Champs-Elysées) in April and the Paris Tennis Open (Paris Masters) in November? |

Check for a rugby or soccer game at Parc des Princes, the venue of the PSG soccer team, and for other sports events at the POPB (Bercy). Paris also has a world class stadium with Stade de France (left). It was the venue of the France 98 soccer world cup final (France beat Brazil 3/0). The Stade de France was also the venue of the Rugby 2007 world cup final (South Africa beat England). |
