The Gustave Moreau Museum is one of the most unexpected museums you can think of in Paris. Gustave Moreau (1826–1895) was a talented symbolist painter and the teacher of Georges Rouault, Henri Matisse and Albert Marquet. Gustave Moreau lived most of his life in the house of his parents, 14 rue de La Rochefoucauld 75009 Paris, close to the Paris department stores. He donated most of his paintings and his extraordinary house to the French state. An out of the beaten track visit for happy fews. Paris museums.
