The Seine river banks in Paris are one of the most beautiful urban landscapes in the world. Notre-Dame and the Louvre Museum are a 30’ walk from each other. The concentration of sights between them is amazing.
Unfortunately, there are very few left bank hotels directly overlooking the river. Citadines Saint-Germain-des-Près, a 4 stars serviced residence, is one of them, one of our favorite in the city.
The residence is right at the corner of Rue des Grands Augustins and its incredible nouvelle cuisine and fusion food restaurants : Ze Kitchen Galery, KGB, Relais Louis XIII.
Citadines Saint-Germain-des-Près are so close to many top sights of the city that it will be hard to choose where to go if you stay there. Start with a 5’ walk to Ile de la Cité and Notre-Dame, walk an extra 5’, cross the Saint-Louis bridge to Ile Saint-Louis to sample one of the famed ice-creams at Berthillon. Walk another 5’ and you are in Le Marais with Picasso Museum, Centre Pompidou and Place des Vosges. Saint-Germain-des Près and Café de Flore are a 5’ walk south from the Citadines. Another 5’ and you are in Luxembourg Gardens. The Louvre, Orsay Museum are within walking distance along the river banks. In addition, there are many restaurants, shops and art galleries in the lovely old and narrow streets of this Paris left bank district.
The Citadines provide serviced apartments from studios for two people to two-room apartments for three or four, all offering a fully equipped kitchen, cable television, air conditioning, soundproof windows and complementary WiFi.
The plus of the residence is the uninterrupted view of the banks of the Seine and its bookshops on the quays.
