Thoiry Safari Park near Paris

If you come to Paris with your children, consider visiting Thoiry. Thoiry is a  safari park near Paris. One thousand animals live an almost African life in the huge park of the 1564 Thoiry castle.

Girafes, elephants, lions, tigers, zebras, bears, antilopes will amaze you and your children as you ride in your car through the park. A spectacular glass tunnel will bring you just under the tigers.

The African Reserve (to be visited in your car), the maze and the gardens are open everyday from 10 am to 5-6pm depending on the day and the season.

To go there from Paris, drive your car. Take the A13 freeway, then the A12 and the N12 towards Dreux. At Pontchartrain, take the D11 towards Thoiry.

You could combine your visit to Thoiry with the near-by Palace of Versailles. In that case, we would recommend you stay in a hotel near Versailles.
