| A heritage of the
Paris Royal Botanical Garden created in 1635, the Paris Natural History Museum
displays its collections in the lovely Jardin des Plantes in Paris. Its main attractions
are the Great Hall of Evolution (right) devoted to the evolution of life,
the gallery of paleontology with a fine collection of dinosaurs, giant birds and
insects. Add to them
the gallery of mineralogy, with over 600 000 mineral samples, giant
cristals and royal precious stones. |

The Paris Natural History Museum
|
The Paris Natural History Museum is both fascinating for adults and
impressive for children.
In addition to the museum, lots of flowers
and a nice little zoo, the Jardin des Plantes also features a tropical
glasshouse and a Mexican glasshouse.
These are indeed precious and welcoming addresses when
the wind is freezing outside.
