Created in 1635 as the Paris Royal Botanical Garden, the famous Paris Natural History Museum is located in Jardin des Plantes (Plant Gardens) on Paris left bank.
Its main attractions are the Hall of Evolution, the gallery of comparative anatomy (dinosaurs, giant birds and insects) and the gallery of mineralogy (600 000 minerals, giant cristals and royal precious stones). A new exhibition is displaying extraordinary minerals.
Paris Natural History Museum and its dinosaur collections can fascinate both adults and children.
