Created in 1635 as the Paris Royal Botanical Garden, the famous Paris Natural History Museum is located in Jardin des Plantes (Plant Gardens).

Its main attractions are the Hall of Evolution, the gallery of paleontology (dinosaurs, giant birds and insects) and the gallery of mineralogy (600 000 minerals, giant cristals and royal precious stones).
