Petit Trianon in Versailles

The Petit Trianon was built between 1762 and 1768 by architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel French King Louis XV gave it to his mistress, Madame de Pompadour.

Madame de Pompadour died four years before its completion.  In 1774, the young King Louis XVI gave the Petit Trianon to Queen Marie Antoinette.

The Petit Trianon is a lovely French piece of  architecture. Don't miss it when you visit Versailles.
