where to stay

where to stay   First timer to Euro from Canada   02:41   December 2, 2010
I am going to Paris in August of
2011 with my family (4 people). I am really having a hard time picking a hotel.
Can anyone tell me where to stay.
I would like to stay in a nice clean hotel, at least a 4 star but not sure if I want to stay in a large US chain style hotel I keep hearing the phrase boutique hotel, what does this mean? The last thing I want is to pay up front for a room and then come to Paris and find we are staying in a dump
Please help!!

Hello, by boutique hotel, we mean the Paris hotels with few rooms and more personal service. Most of them are not part of international hotel chains. They are often charming and we are sure you will enjoy this type of hotel (be aware rooms are overall small in Paris). We suggest you make your choice from our hotel page. Look carefully at guest reviews. If you want to check our advice before booking a specific hotel, please ask. Have a great stay in Paris.

I have found a few hotels of interest
Can you give me your opinion on
Oceania Paris Porte de Versailles
and
Cosy's Residence Cadet
and
Hotel Ares

Hello again, all three hotels are good choices for different reasons. Hotel Oceania Paris Porte de Versailles: - location alongside the Peripherique freeway and on the edge of Paris, + the pool and the vicinity of
Aquaboulevard
, a real must for children. Hotel Ares: + close to Eiffel Tower and metro, quiet district, - off the lively districts of Paris. Cosy’s resident Cadet: + very central, you really are in Paris with shops, restaurants ,theaters and people on the street, – you may prefer to be in a quieter district. If we had to choose, we would stay at Cosy's resident Cadet. Enjoy your Paris trip.
