Rungis wholesale market

Rungis wholesale market   Paris Digest from France   18:49   March 18, 2011
Last Friday, we woke up early to be at 5am Place Denfert Rochereau to go on a Rungis Market tour. This early morning visit to the world largest wholesale market of fresh products is quite fascinating. You discover the hidden side of a very large city with many hard working people around and masses of excellent food products from all over the world. The fish, cheese and flower wholesale markets are great. The meat wholesale market is impressive. Private visits can be organized. Definitely an out of the beaten track visit of Paris.
