La Tour d'Argent

La Tour d'Argent   Paris Digest from France   22:23   July 29, 2011
We went today to La Tour d'Argent to check this famous restaurant near Notre Dame. As most high end restaurants in Paris, they have an affordable set menu at lunchtime. For 65 euros, we ate pike dumplings, roasted duckling with apricots and finished with chocolate and raspberries matchstick with fresh ginger. With half a bottle of excellent Pauillac at 47 euros, we paid 189 euros for two very good classical french meals. But that was La Tour D’Argent : one of the most famous restaurants in Europe, a lovely location on the Seine river banks, great reception and service, the magnificent dining room and the extraordinay Paris view turned our meal into a memorable event. Thank you, André Terail and all the staff, to maintain the tradition of good food and friendly service at this extraordinary restaurant while allowing ordinary people to benefit from it. See our selection of famous Paris restaurants with a view.
