Hello! We will be traveling to Paris in Mid-October and I was wondering what kind of clothes to pack. What is in style this fall for the women in France? Thanks for your help!

Hello Liz !
Here is what I could advise you to pack. First of all, French women wear no sport clothes in town, like rain coats, hiking shoes, sneakers,.. nor backpacks. As for the bag, they rather wear quite a large purse. They would wear black, brown, grey...pants rather than denim jeans which are less chic, specially to hang out at night. Trench coat in any color always are in style, moreover they are easy to wear and match everything, wether you wear a dress or pants. Women in France usually wear dresses, wool dresses if it's cold, not too long, or skirts specially higt- waisted skirts that are very fashionable this fall. Low boots or ankle boots too : you can wear those with pants as well as with a dress or a skirt. What you wear with dresses and skirts is dark wool leggins, with any kind of shoes but sport shoes ("ballerines", any kind of town boots, hight hills...), a trench coat or a short jacket, even a large scarf.
The grey color is told as the color of the following fall and winter, tartan style material and stripped shirts, sailor style remain in fashion.
Have a nice trip !
