Burgundy wine tour

Burgundy wine tour    Paris Digest from France   19:46   January 16, 2012
We went yesterday on a Burgundy wine tour. Burgundy wine country is producing top quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines. A lovely region, it is very secretive. That’s why we chose to go on a private tour with François Gimeno, a local expert guide. Taking the TGV train in Paris at 7.23am, we were picked up by Francois in Dijon at 8.58. We really had a great day : Francois drove us on the Burgundy trails with fantastic views of famous vineyards and villages: Chassagne-Montrachet, Chambolle Musigny, Clos de Vougeot, Vosne-Romanee, Romanee-Conti. We had a wonderful lunch at Cellier Volnaysien and fantastic wine tastings at Domaine Rion and Jobart-Morey. Francois put us back on the train in Beaune at 6.39pm. We were back in Paris at 9.07pm. If you like wine and want to see a bit of France, go on a Burgundy wine tour.
