We will be arriving in Paris on Monday which is also the independence day. Are there any shops open that day? Any recommendations on what to do on that day? Thanks.

Many Paris shops and restaurants will be closed on July 14th. Don’t miss the three great events taking place that day in Paris: the traditional Bastille day military parade on the Champs-Elysées starting at 10h50am, a 500 000 people free concert on Champs de Mars (the large park underneath the Eiffel tower) at 8.50pm with top singers Christophe Maé, Raphaël, Christophe, James Blunt, Amel Bent, Pauline Croze, Rose, Jenifer and Laurent Voulzy and the firework over Trocadero around 10.30pm (will be best seen from concert area). Be there long in advance if you want to participate!
