Gap year

I am thinking of taking a Gap Year from university next year, and so would like to save up money and live in Paris for 2-4 weeks. I would like to live in an apartment during my stay. Which district of Paris would you reccommend? I am interested in fasion which is why I would like to visit Paris, so which places would be good to visit?
