The policy of Paris Digest, as far as restaurants are concerned, is to recommend you just a few exceptional restaurants we would recommend to our best friends. To find them, we read many reviews and test many restaurants. The result is our selection of
Paris restaurants. We went today to the famous
Gallopin brasserie. Founded in 1874, it has the lovely mahogany walls and stainglasses of the great restaurants of this time in Paris. The waiters are superbly dressed. The prices are moderate at lunch. We paid 64 euros for two (two course menu and 50 cl of good Gamay from the Loire valley). The desert was very good, but the main course was average. Altogether a good address, if you are close by. But Gallopin won’t make it to our list of the best restaurants in Paris.
